Health Insurance Solutions
Navigating the complexities of healthcare coverage for individuals, families, and businesses.
Your Partner in Health Coverage
Understanding health insurance options can be overwhelming. Whether you're looking for individual coverage, family plans, Medicare options, or group benefits for your business, LeClercq Insurance Services is here to help you find the right plan.
Individual & Family Health Insurance (Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois)
As licensed agents in Illinois, we can help you navigate your health insurance options. We are appointed to offer plans exclusively from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL), helping you find a plan that fits your needs and budget.
We can assist you with BCBSIL plans in two ways:
-
On the Marketplace ("Get Covered Illinois")
- This is the official state marketplace where you can apply for financial assistance (premium tax credits) to help lower your monthly premiums.
- We can guide you through the application and enrollment process for BCBSIL plans offered on the marketplace.
-
Off the Marketplace (Direct Enrollment)
- These are plans you purchase directly from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois.
- Financial assistance is not available for these plans, but they may be the right choice for individuals and families who don't qualify for subsidies.
- We can help you review these options and enroll directly.
Medicare Options (for Seniors & Eligible Individuals)
As licensed independent agents in Illinois, we are appointed with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois and Humana to help you understand your choices. We provide clear, objective information to help you find a suitable plan, whether you are new to Medicare or reviewing your current coverage.
We can help you compare several types of plans beyond Original Medicare:
- Medicare Advantage (Part C): Plans offered by private companies (BCBSIL and Humana) that are approved by Medicare. They bundle your Part A (Hospital) and Part B (Medical) benefits and often include Part D (Prescription Drugs). Many plans also offer extra benefits not covered by Original Medicare, such as dental, vision, and hearing.
- Medicare Supplement (Medigap): These plans are designed to help pay for some of the out-of-pocket costs that Original Medicare doesn't cover, such as your Part A and B deductibles and coinsurance. Please note: Due to federal law, individuals newly eligible for Medicare on or after January 1, 2020, are not able to purchase Medigap Plans C or F.
- Prescription Drug Plans (Part D): These are standalone plans that add prescription drug coverage to Original Medicare. You can pair a Part D plan with Original Medicare or with certain types of Medicare Supplement plans.
We provide clear explanations of enrollment periods, costs, and coverage differences to help you select the most suitable Medicare path.
Group Health Insurance (Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois)
Offering competitive health benefits is crucial for attracting and retaining top talent in Illinois. We are proud to offer group benefit solutions from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) to help your business build a comprehensive and cost-effective package.
As licensed agents, we can help you explore the range of solutions available through BCBSIL, including:
- Flexible Funding Options: We can compare fully-insured plans (where the carrier assumes 100% of the risk) with other funding arrangements like self-funded (ASO) or level-funded plans to find the right financial fit for your company.
- Diverse Plan Designs: We can review plans that meet your employees' needs, including traditional PPOs, HMOs, and HSA-compatible high-deductible health plans (HDHPs) that allow employees to save for medical expenses tax-free.
- Integrated Ancillary Benefits: You can complete your benefits package with BCBSIL's other group offerings, such as group dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
- Employer Responsibilities (ACA): We can provide information and resources to help you understand employer responsibilities under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), such as reporting and coverage requirements.
Choosing The Right Plan
Finding the right health plan is critical, whether you're turning 26, self-employed, preparing for Open Enrollment, or becoming eligible for Medicare. As independent agents, we're here to help you navigate your insurance options. We'll help you compare plans from various carriers, explain the differences between deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums, and ensure your preferred doctors are in-network, all to find a plan that fits your life and budget.
